Go Daddy Super Bowl Commercial Upsets Animal Rights Activists

Go Daddy is known for its provocative Super Bowl commercials, usually involving barely dressed women touting the online site.

However this year, the company is creating a new kind of controversy by poking fun at the other lost puppy ads that are expected to air during the Super Bowl.

This year's Go Daddy ad has sparked outrage among animal rights activists, and a change.org petition calling for the removal of the ad is gaining thousands of signatures by the hour.

UPDATE: Go Daddy has announced on its Facebook page that it will not show the Lost Puppy ad due to the negative response. More than 42,000 people signed the change.org petition to convince the company to pull the plug on the ad. Go Daddy's CEO, Blake Irving wrote, "We are pulling the ad from the Super Bowl. You'll still see us in the Big Game this year, and we hope it makes you laugh."
