COPPELL (AP) - Retail gasoline prices across Texas rose a nickel this week to reach an average $2.43 per gallon.

AAA Texas on Thursday reported gas prices nationwide are up 7 cents, to reach $2.65 per gallon.

Drivers in Dallas and El Paso are paying the most for gasoline in Texas at $2.49 per gallon. Beaumont has the cheapest gasoline statewide at an average $2.35 per gallon.

Analysts say the price at the pump often increases in the spring due to seasonal maintenance, rising demand and higher costs to produce summer-blend gasoline.
