COPPELL (AP) - Texas retail gasoline prices has slipped a penny this week to settle at an average $2.14 per gallon.

AAA Texas on Thursday reported that the nationwide price at the pump held steady at $2.36 per gallon.

Amarillo has the cheapest gasoline in Texas this week at an average $2.06 per gallon. The association's weekly survey found that drivers in Dallas are paying the most statewide at an average $2.18 per gallon.

Association experts say the cost of crude oil has moved higher over the past few weeks, making gasoline more expensive to start the summer driving season.
