Gas Leak Leads To Evacuations In The Colony

THE COLONY (CBSDFW.COM) - Three businesses were evacuated after a gas leak in The Colony around 2:00 p.m. Wednesday.

It happened at the intersection of South Colony Boulevard and Branch Hollow Drive.

According to Atmos Energy, it appears a construction crew unrelated to Atmos, hit a two-inch natural gas line.

Once the natural gas has been safely shut off, Atmos crews will repair the damaged pipe.

This temporary gas outage may affect a few small businesses in the area.

No injuries have been reported.
