Gas Leak In Grapevine Forces Evacuations

GRAPEVINE (CBSDFW.COM) - Seventy-three homes were evacuated as a precaution after a natural gas leak in the area of Dallas Road near Twilight Trail around 7:00 p.m. Monday.

E. Dallas Road was shut down at Twilight Trail and Rainbow. 

Grapevine police officers and firefighters were on the scene as Atmos Energy crews turned off the gas and investigated the leak.

ONCOR was also because power in the area had to be shut off.

Grapevine Police said it could take about two hours before everything is back to normal and people can return to their homes.

A private contractor was doing work when the leak occurred.  

There were no reports of injuries.
