Suspect arrested after barricading following Fort Worth shooting, police say

A shooting suspect is in custody after barricading himself inside a home in Fort Worth early Sunday morning, police said. 

According to the arrest report, 46-year-old Mauricie Adan Castandeda was taken into custody around 10 a.m. 

The Fort Worth Police Department said just after 2:15 a.m., officers responded to a shooting call in the 3800 block of N. Terry Street. When they arrived, a man was found with multiple gunshot wounds in his back.

Police said the victim was transported to a hospital, but his condition is unknown.

A short time later, police said there was a barricaded suspect, identified as Castandeda. He was booked on a charge of aggravated assault with bodily injury with a deadly weapon, the arrest report said.
