FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - Crews in Fort Worth raced to make repairs after a roadway buckled along a busy route near DFW International Airport. It happened on the ramp from westbound Highway 183 to southbound Highway 360.

The incident was first reported Thursday evening and workers remained at the scene through Friday morning. Repairs were completed early Friday afternoon. The ramp had been closed while crews were at the scene, but the road has now been opened once again.

The buckled pavement created a six-inch drop off along the ramp. Before the road was closed, it was causing drivers to go airborne and lose traction. Drivers said that they noticed the road starting to buckle a few days ago.

Crews said that it is too early to determine what caused the buckling.
