DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - A former HEB elementary school principal who was convicted of a federal sex crime is to be sentenced Monday morning.
In April of 2015, Oscar Figueroa of Carrollton was found guilty of coercion and enticement of a child, a federal crime.
At the time of the offense he was the principal of the Viridian Elementary School, which is in Arlington but part of the HEB school system.
According to investigators, Figuerora had placed an ad in Craigslist looking for sex. He thought he had met a 16-year old boy....a teenager he planned to meet at the Stonebriar AMC Theater. It was a very-young-looking undercover officer who showed up.
When Figueroa went ahead with his scheme, he was busted.
Today, the Judge could sentence Figueroa anywhere from 10-years to life.
