DALLAS (CBSDFW/1080 KRLD) - Following his indictment on a domestic violence charge, embattled NFL quarterback Johnny Manziel's bond has been set at $1,500.

On Tuesday, Manziel was formally indicted by a Dallas Grand Jury on a charge of assault causing bodily injury.

Manziel's attorney, Robert Hinton, says the ex-NFL quarterback will not duck the public and will appear in Dallas County court next week. He faces a Class A misdemeanor that carries up to a year in jail and a $4,000 fine.

Manziel is charged with assaulting ex-girlfriend Colleen Crowley by dragging her by the hair and with hitting her so hard he ruptured an eardrum.

On Tuesday night Manziel was photographed with singer Justin Bieber at his concert in Cleveland. Hinton claimed Manziel is in Ohio closing on his house - after being cut by the Browns.
