DECATUR, Texas (CBSDFW.COM) - Decatur High School, which was flooded due to heavy rain this past weekend, will remain closed for the rest of the week.
The school district had said it hoped to reopen the school by Thursday, but flooding caused more damage than first thought.
After cleanup and repairs, Decatur ISD now expects to welcome back students on Monday, October 1.
The high school will remain closed through Friday, Sept. 28. DISD officials expect the school to re-open on Monday, Oct. 1. DISD met with the restoration company today and determined that repairs are more extensive than originally thought. Check your email for info. @Decatur_HS
