DALLAS(CBSDFW.COM) - The Trinity River Wind Festival and the Girl Scout Council-Wide Bridging with the Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas will not be held on May 16. The City of Dallas says recent rainfall has increased the amount of water flowing through the Dallas Floodway and the area where the 2015 Trinity River Wind Festival was to be held is closed.

Organizers say it was a difficult decision to make and it is the first time the event has been canceled in the history of the festival.  Check back here for updates on when the event will be held.

Also, the Dallas Music (DMD) Festival, which was scheduled this weekend in the Dallas Floodway, has moved to Trinity Groves, 410 Bedford St., Dallas, TX 75212.

The event happens Saturday, May 16 - (2 p.m. – 11 p.m.) and Sunday, May 17 - (1 p.m. – 10 p.m.)

The event will feature a variety of musical genres on two stages during two days. (Entry Fee - $25) Check here for more details.
