One Person Dead, One Injured After Fort Worth Apartment Fire

FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - One person has died, another has been hurt after a two-alarm fire at an apartment complex in Southwest Fort Worth Thursday night.

The two - a man and woman - were badly burned at the Brazos on Hulen Apartment Homes near Hulen and Wheelock, according to the fire department.

A CareFlite air ambulance took one person to Parkland Hospital in Dallas, where he or she died.  Another victim went to Parkland by ground ambulance.

The Dallas County Medical Examiner did not have any information early Friday on the person who died.

The fire started shortly before 9:00 p.m.

By 9:30 p.m., the fire was under control.

It's unclear what caused it, but a woman who lives in the complex said she heard some sort of "boom."
