Fire Destroys Irving Apartment Complex

IRVING (CBSDFW) - An apartment complex in Irving went up in flames on Friday afternoon.

Firefighters battled the intense blaze at the Hidden Ridge on The Canal Apartments near W. Walnut Hill Lane and N. MacArthur blvd.
Authorities don't know the cause of the fire at this time and couldn't confirm if any injuries had occurred.
All they could say is that there are "no active rescues" at this time.

According to KRLD's Austin York, the roof of the building collapsed a short time later, and smashed a car in the apartment complex parking lot.
