Father Of University Of Texas Stabbing Victim Dies

AUSTIN (CBSDFW.COM) - The family of University of Texas stabbing victim Harrison Brown has suffered another loss.

On Monday Brown's father, Dr. Kurt Brown passed away after a long battle with Lou Gehrig's disease.

Remembered as a compassionate man, the chiropractor moved to Graham (northwest of Fort Worth) in 1990.

His 19-year-old son made headlines after he was killed on May 1 in a stabbing on the UT-Austin campus that injured 3 other students.

Services for Dr. Brown will take place Friday.
