FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - A family is on a desperate search for answers after Fort Worth contractor Mike Randle disappeared last month without a trace. But there is not much that police can do to help. According to investigators, there are no signs of foul play in this case, so Randle is being treated as a standard missing person.

"You never think you're going to be the one putting up flyers, you know, trying to find your dad," said Christopher Randle, the missing man's son.

The contractor was working on a new home that he had purchased. However, when he stopped answering phone calls and did not show up for church, family members knew that something was wrong. Police looked into the case, but found no signs of a struggle at the home.

"Well, maybe this happened and maybe that happened, and that's the difficult part," said Randle's son, "because we don't have anything. You just start to entertain everything."

This situation is incredibly confusing, the family added, because Randle has never left abruptly and the 60-year-old man is in good mental and physical health. Now, they are not sure where to turn. "They're telling us a lot that sometimes people just say they don't want to be found and they just kind of go because they need a break, " Randle's son said, "and we don't believe that at all."

Randle's vehicle is also missing -- a navy blue 2003 Honda CRV -- along with some larger work tools. Anyone who might have some information about this case has been asked to contact the family directly at 817-983-9517.
