Family Car Stolen With Beloved Dog Inside

FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - A Fort Worth family who just moved to Texas is devastated after their vehicle was stolen along with their beloved family dog that was inside the car.
Bobbin Wilson and her husband recently moved from Missoula, Montana and have never thought twice about leaving a car running while running inside the pharmacy for a few minutes.
But on Saturday when Wilson visited the CVS Pharmacy near I-20 and Trail Lake Drive, her worst nightmare happened.
"I'm not even angry. I'm not feeling an angry emotion. I'm feeling despair for my dog," said Wilson.
With the hot temperatures, Wilson left the car on with the A/C running for her 4-year-old Western Highland Terrier, Hallie.
But just as Wilson walked out of CVS, she witnessed a man get inside her 2004 Toyota Matrix and take off with her dog inside the car.
"I thought, 'My god! The man is taking my dog!' (I) didn't really think about the car," said Wilson.
Fort Worth Police were notified and Wilson has posted fliers around town and on Facebook in her quest for a safe return of Hallie.
"I take full credit for leaving my dog in the car with the engine running. My mindset was Missoula, Montana and West Virginia where you could do that," said Wilson.
Wilson said she could not care less about ever seeing her car again.
"I want my dog back safe and sound. That's all I want. We can buy a new car. I don't want to see anyone go to jail. I just want my dog back," said Wilson.
A reward is being offered, no questions asked.
