LITTLE ELM (CBSDFW.COM) - Mission accomplished for a Texas representative from Little Elm.

Patrick Fallon completed a marathon in Sydney, Australia on Friday. It was his seventh race, on his seventh continent, in just seven days.

Before starting the World Marathon Challenge, Fallon had never run in a single marathon. Friday's run was his personal best, finishing in under four hours.

The first race was held in Antarctica, with stops in Miami and Madrid along the way.

Fallon did all of this to help raise money for pediatric cancer research, in honor of an 8-year-old Illinois boy who lost his fight with the disease. Jonny Wade died from a rare form of brain cancer last Christmas. Fallon had never met the boy or his family, but he followed Wade's brave fight through social media.

Wade's family has since become very close with Fallon.
