If you are in search of the oldest and creepiest haunted house in Texas, look no further than Red Oak.

Just off I-35, south of Dallas, you turn off the main road, down a tree lined path and drive under a creepy metal arch to the Reindeer Manor.

If this place looks old and creepy, consider that it has been around ninety-six years and has a haunted past to boot.

"It became a haunted house in October of 1974, which makes it the longest running haunted house in Texas. The house is much older than that, the house that is here now was built in 1920" said Reindeer Manor co-owner Alex Lohmann.

Alex and his wife Jennifer not only own this place, but they live here full time.  The house was built by oilman James Sharp, who was quite successful until the Wall Street stock market crash of 1929.

"When the stock market crashed, he poisoned his wife in the house and then he hung himself in the build that the 13th Street Morgue is in now" added Lohmann.

The 13th Street Morgue is one of three main attractions including the Reindeer Manor and the Dungeon of Doom.  Then there is one more stop before you get away.

"We have a bonus forth attraction called The Shadow House. It's a big scary black maze that is full of fog and loud music.  Each group gets one glow stick to share to find their way through it" grinned Lohmann.
