OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — A former employee of the Bricklayer's International Union, Local 5, has pleaded guilty to embezzling nearly $161,000 from a trust fund used to train future union members.

Court documents show 42-year-old Laura Anne Ross of Oklahoma City entered the plea Tuesday in federal court in Oklahoma City.

Ross admitted in a plea agreement that she took the money from a Joint Apprenticeship Trust Fund operated by the union that represents bricklayers and trowel trade workers in Oklahoma, Arkansas and Texas.

Ross faces up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine. U.S. Attorney Sanford Coats said sentencing is expected in about 90 days.
