Driver Strikes, Kills Horse On Highway 114 In Grapevine

GRAPEVINE (CBSDFW.COM) - A quarter horse is dead after it was struck on State Highway 114 in Grapevine this afternoon.
It happened just after noon in the eastbound lanes near Main Street.
Police said the driver who hit the horse was not hurt and it's not clear why the animal was on the roadway.
They're also trying to identify who owns the horse.
Two lanes of the freeway were shut down while crews worked to get the deceased animal removed.
