Driver Of Stolen Vehicle Dies In Fort Worth Crash

FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) -- A man in a stolen vehicle died Thursday night after leading police on a high-speed chase that ended in a crash.

Around 11:30 p.m., a Fort Worth officer on patrol noted a suspicious vehicle at 322 South Main St. and  attempted to pull it over. The driver fled, traveling at high speeds.

After crossing under Interstate 35 on Berry Street, the driver lost control, hit a curb and crashed into a treee.

The unidentified driver was pronounced dead on the scene.

Officers say the car had been earlier reported as stolen by Bedford Police.
