DPD Officer Terminated After Arrest For Sex Assault Of Child

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Dallas Police say an Internal Affairs investigation concluded that on June 16, 2015, Senior Corporal Ryan Ramirez, #9343, engaged in adverse conduct when he made sexual contact with a child which ultimately led to his arrest on July 15, 2015, by Kaufman County Sheriff's Office.
Senior Corporal Ramirez was charged with Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child Felony 1.
Chief David Brown announced Tuesday following a hearing, Ramirez was terminated for his alleged actions.
He was hired in January 2008 and assigned to the Narcotics Division.
Under civil service rules, the officer has the right to appeal his discipline.
