Missing Dallas Woman Found Safe & Back With Family

Update: The Dallas Police Department has reported that the missing woman has been found safe and is now back with her family.

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - A Dallas woman has gone missing and police are asking for help locating her.

According to officials, Amalia Sierra Joya went missing sometime between 8:00 and 8:30 this morning. The 59-year-old woman has been diagnosed with dementia and her family says she sometimes gets lost.

Police say Joya was last seen in the 6600 block of Marla Drive, getting into a 2003 maroon-colored Chevy Impala. The license plate on the vehicle is - DKX 1912.

Amalia Sierra Joya is a Latin female who stands 5'3" and and weighs 150 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes. At the time she went missing was wearing a pink t-shirt, blue jeans, and tennis shoes.

Anyone with information about Joya's disappearance or knows her whereabouts is asked to call 911 or contact the Dallas Police Department at 214-671-4268.
