DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Zoe Hastings, the teen who was kidnapped and murdered earlier this month, was stabbed and left near a creek, according to new information released in court documents Tuesday.

A search warrant affidavit released Tuesday afternoon said the 18-year-old's body was left next to her minivan, not inside of it as previously reported.

Prior to the release of the court documents, police would not say how Hastings died.

Police seized knives and a rug from the apartment of the man accused of the crime, Antonio Lamar Cochran, 34.

Cochran is currently being held at the Dallas County Jail on a capital murder charge.
