DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - Dez Bryant played with a heavy heart in Pittsburgh Sunday.

According to Cowboys sideline reporter Kristi Scales, Bryant's father, MacArthur Hatton, passed away yesterday from an illness.

Dez responded by hauling in 6 catches for 117 yards, including a 50 yard touchdown, capping an emotional day for the Cowboys receiver.

Scales told the Cowboys pregame show on 105.3 The Fan that Bryant was given the news when the team arrived in Pittsburgh on Saturday.

Jerry Jones told Scales before the game that the team was rallying around Bryant before the game.

"Of course, he's very sad. And you only have one of those (a father). But he was getting the kind of support you would think. He's loved in that locker room. And, so, there was a lot of sensitivity and love being expressed to him," Jones said. "I'll say this. If he wanted to be at some place in his life, I bet it would be right in the middle of that locker room to be dealing with that."
