DEEP ELLUM (CBSDFW.COM) - Frustrated residents and businesses in Deep Ellum will finally be able to get their hands on their mail.

Hundreds of people couldn't after a postal center abruptly closed its doors this week.

When the owner of Deep Ellum Postal and Grocery was evicted due to not paying rent, his store was locked up, leaving customers locked out of their mail boxes.

The postal service said Saturday, workers will retrieve mail for residents and they can pick it up starting Monday at 8:00 a.m. at the Juanita Craft Station on Al Lipscomb Way.

The owner of the parcel center texted a statement to CBS11 on Friday night apologizing to the customers he felt he let down.
