Dallas Teen Gets Maximum Sentence For Drowning Baby

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - A 14-year-old teen who pleaded guilty to the murder of a two-month-old baby has been sentenced to the maximum sentence of 40 years.

The teen, who has not been identified because of her age, was not tried as an adult for the January drowning death of the infant.

State District Judge Cheryl Lee Shannon ruled the teen would be tried as a juvenile at a hearing last month.

At the time of two-month old Justice Hull's death, her mother was in jail. Justice had been placed in the care of the 14-year old's mother, who was at work at the time of the drowning.
