DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - Highland Park Police were called Thursday morning to a home after a report of a person with a gun.

According to police, a 911 call was made from a home on Beverly Drive, between Auburndale and Byron avenues around 10:00 a.m. Thursday.

Police say the call was made because people in the home were concerned because an unidentified individual in the home, who was reportedly suffering from depression, had a gun.

Police say that when they arrived, the person with the gun refused to surrender.

SWAT teams were called to the scene and two people were evacuated from the home.

Authorities say that the 'all clear' was given after the home was searched and one person was found dead due to a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The name of the shooting suspect has not been released.
