DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - One man is dead after Dallas police say he was shot by a semiautomatic rifle.

Police say 20-year-old Sherman Waters was at the Brandon Mill Apartments on Marvin D Love freeway when he was shot while in his Porsche SUV.

Authorities say Waters tried to drive away, but was critically wounded and crashed into some parked cars. He was rushed to the hospital where he later died.

The motive and description of the suspect were not available. Some reports suggest Waters was part of an earlier fight.

A 5,000 dollar reward is being offered in the case.
