Dallas Police Say No Crime Committed In Earlier ATM Theft Case

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) — Police in Dallas earlier asked for help from the public identifying and locating a suspect who they said used an ATM card to steal thousands of dollars.

Dallas police contacted CBS 11 saying later, "The person of interest has been identified and it has been determined that no crime has been committed."

Investigators in the financial crimes unit had said between June 1, 2020, and September 14, 2020 a suspect made a number of ATM withdrawals from a person's bank account and that a total of nearly $13,000 was stolen.

Crime Stoppers had also offered a reward of up to $5000 for information that led to an arrest and indictment in the case.
