Dallas Police Charge Man With Murder Of Transgender Woman Found In White Rock Lake, Chynal Lindsey

UPDATE: North Texas Man Who Murdered Transgender Woman In 2019 Sentenced To 37 Years In Prison

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Dallas Police have arrested a man for the murder of Chynal Lindsey, 26, the transgender woman whose body was found in White Rock Lake on June 1.

On Thursday, police said Ruben Alvarado, 22, was arrested and brought to Dallas Police Headquarters for questioning, where he refused to talk to detectives.

Alvarado was taken to the Dallas County Jail and was charged with murder. A bond was set for $500,000.

A mugshot was released early Friday morning.

On June 12, Dallas Police arrested Kendrell Lavar Lyles, 34, in the death of Muhlaysia Booker, 23, the transgender woman killed in Dallas in May.
