DALLAS (AP) - A Richardson area man has been arrested in the death of a woman whose beaten body was found in a burning car.

Dallas police on Wednesday announced the arrest of Manuel Rocha Jr., who was sought on a capital murder warrant.

Investigators didn't immediately say what led to Rocha. He's charged in the death of Alexus Garcia of Fort Worth. Her body was discovered June 20 in a vehicle that had been on fire.

Police have said they believe Garcia earlier drove to a house in Richardson to meet a man. She texted a friend and raised safety concerns.

Police say a cellphone and a Texas identification card found in the burned vehicle were traced to Rocha.

Online jail records did not immediately list information Wednesday for Rocha.
