DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) — Dallas police have arrested three men for allegedly assaulting a fully uniformed officer who "was working in an off-duty capacity" at a bar in Uptown.

Police said the men "hit and kicked" Senior Cpl. Gerardo Huante when he tried to break up what police called a "disturbance" in the parking lot of Concrete Cowboy around 2:30 a.m. Saturday. He was taken to Parkland Memorial Hospital for treatment. His injuries were not life-threatening.

Police say the three men — 28-year-old Christopher Casey, 30-year-old Christopher Hickman and 26-year-old Callum Duncan — have been arrested and charged with assault on a public servant, a third-degree felony. They are in Dallas County Jail.
