Dallas Officer Injured In Scuffle With Suspect

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Dallas police officers working an off-duty job in the 2700 block of McKinney Avenue, saw a fight in a nearby parking lot around 2:35 a.m.

The officers, in full uniform, approached the suspects to stop the fight.

While attempting to separate the men, one suspect struck one of the officers in the left eye several times with his closed fist causing bruising and pain.

The officers used mace and a taser to affect the arrest.

Dallas Fire Rescue treated the officer at the scene and the suspect was taken to a local hospital for his injuries.
