DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - A day after 11 quakes rattled North Texas in around 27 hours, plans are underway to review emergency response plans for Dallas. Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings announced a partnership with Irving to find some answers to questions residents have about the region's vulnerability level, in terms of earthquakes.

"By combining our resources, we can work with specialists at SMU and others to answer the question what should we be expecting, how should we be thinking about the future, what cautionary decisions do we need to make to make sure we are safe," said Mayor Rawlings.

The Grauwyler Rec Center was impacted from the quakes, showing new cracks and separation marks on its walls Wednesday.

The center is similar to most commercial buildings and high rises built before 2002, which don't have design requirements for earthquakes. Building codes that address earthquake intensity are generally minimal, according to the city's chief building code administrator.
