DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Considered more toxic to the human brain than marijuana by experts, K2 may soon be regulated in Dallas.

The city's public safety committee will look at options Monday after police said the drug recently led to hundreds of overdoses in the downtown area.

The committee could regulate the drug paraphernalia shops where the synthetic drugs are sold.

Additionally, officials want to keep K2 at least 1,000 feet away from schools and churches.
