DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Dallas Mavericks have signed free agent power forward David Lee.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, however, Mike Fisher says the deal is worth 2.1 million for the rest of the season.

Lee was released by the Boston Celtics on Friday afternoon, making him eligible to sign with any team but Boston after clearing waivers.

Lee averages 14.4 points and 9.2 rebounds per game for his career. So far this season, Lee's played in 30 games with the Celtics, averaging 7.1 points and 4.3 rebounds a game in just over 15 minutes per contest.

To make room for Lee on the roster, the Mavericks waived shooting guard John Jenkins.

Jenkins saw action in 21 games for Dallas this season and averaged 3.3 points and 1.0 rebound in 9.2 minutes per game.
