Dallas Home Invasion Leads To Chase That Ends In Mesquite

MESQUITE (1080 KRLD) - A home invasion turned into a long, winding police chase that ended in Mesquite overnight.

Late Monday night, Dallas Police say they tried to stop a man who broke into a home in Dallas.

According to reports, the man got into his car following the break-in and took off with police close behind.

Police chased him for about an hour, even attempting to use stop-stix to flatten the tires.

The driver finally bailed from the vehicle in east Dallas near 635 LBJ.

Police brought in two helicopters and K( search teams to track the man down.

He was found hiding in a creek bed on the Mesquite side of LBJ and arrested on several charges.
