Dallas Charity Gets Surprise Check

DALLAS (CBS11) - A big surprise Thursday for a Dallas charity that advocates for abused and neglected infants.
The United Way of Metropolitan Dallas handed over a check for $12,500 to the First Three Years organization at Kyle Warren Park.
The United Way says it expects to hand over up to $100-thousand during the next month to organizations that are making a positive impact on the community.
