Dad Arrested In Fort Worth Razor Blade Rice Krispy Hoax

FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - The Fort Worth father who claimed he found a razor in his child's Halloween Rice Krispy Treat has been arrested.

Fort Worth Police say Charles Pruitt, 33, orchestrated the hoax, which prompted police to issue a warning to other parents.

Police say a search of Pruitt's home found a blade missing from the Gillette Fusion Pro razor in the bathroom, which matched the razor found in the Rice Krispy Treat.

Police say Pruitt confessed to putting the razor in the treat himself while being questioned by detectives. He has been arrested for filing a False Report to a Peace Officer.
