DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - An update on the neglected animal seized from a property on Wednesday, January 13.

Dallas Animal Services says it has 53 dogs from the seizure and at least two are pregnant. 16 are puppies.

There are still a couple more dogs at the property to rescue.

There's a custody hearing next Wednesday.

If DAS is granted custody, the owner, Melinda Vinzant can appeal.

Therefore it's unclear when the dogs could be adopted out.

Vinzant was arrested and charged with Cruelty to livestock Animals, Cruelty to Non-livestock Animals and various warrants.
