DFW AIRPORT (CBSDFW.COM) - The Dallas Cowboys arrived back home at DFW airport, after losing playoff game against the Green Bay Packers, Sunday night to close to a hundred fans waiting.

Fans couldn't get close to the players but it didn't seem to matter because for them it was a season to remember.

"I wanted to say thank you for a great season. we're ready for next season already," said fan Ray Reina.

One fan drove several miles through Texas to greet his team.

"I live in Bridgeport, Texas, and I drove all the way down here. It's about an hours drive," said Steven Forester.

Most fans would have loved to welcome back the Cowboys after a victory, but they said they are proud of the players win or lose.

"We just wanted to come even though it's a tough loss," said fan Natalie Lechuga.

Coach Jason Garrett had a word of thanks for the fans.

"We appreciate them being out here. we appreciate. the support of our fans all year long and certainly we do now after this tough loss. it was a heckuva year for our football team but we just came up short," said Coach Garrett.

Fans say the controversial call that is blamed for the lost to Green Bay is fuel for another season.

"It's just ammunition for next year. We're going to get them. Great those cheeseheads next year," said Anna Hernandez.
