Coppell Apartments Evacuated After Flood

COPPELL (CBSDFW.COM) - A portion of an apartment complex in Coppell had to be evacuated over the weekend because of flooding concerns. It happened on Saturday at the Wellington Place Apartments, located in the 200 block of South MacArthur Boulevard, near Sandy Lake Road.

The complex started to go under water at around midday, residents said.

There were about 100 residents impacted by the flooding. The American Red Cross set up a shelter for those evacuees at the Coppell Aquatic Center.
