FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM)— Progress with the Clear Fork Development along the Trinity Trail in south Fort Worth is coming along quickly.

The 270 acre development is billed as Fort Worth's latest and greatest attempt to develop high end luxury living.

Although heavy construction is still taking place several shops, a restaurant, and a luxury apartment community are already open.

Mandy Halverson who lives nearby says Clear Fork has become her new favorite place to spend time.

Halverson said, "To me the biggest appeal is that it is well maintained, and it is preserving the natural area that is inherent to Fort Worth."

Once the development is finished it will have a high end Cinema and various retails stores anchored by a Neiman Marcus.

Kelly Kitchersid of Mellow Johnny's bike shop which was one of the first to open said they have already outpaced their own expectations.

She added, "We've got such a beautiful location that everybody kind of anticipated that it would be popular but I don't think anyone expected the kind of growth that we have had."

The Kelton at Clear Fork opened it's doors to residents looking to lease luxury apartment late last year and they are reporting to be 37 percent leased.

The property manager Ginger Schmidt said "We are leasing consistently every day. We have tons of traffic that comes through the door."

The area has been a favorite among active lifestyle enthusiasts and bicyclists who use the Trinity Trail.

The entire project is expected to generate more than 300 million dollars in revenue according to developers, and more than 2-thousand jobs.

It's expected to be completed in 2017.
