Classes will resume at Plano East Senior High School after power outage, officials say

Classes canceled at Plano East Senior High School due to power outage

Classes at Plano East Senior High School will resume on Friday, Sept. 12, officials said.

The closure was due to a power outage caused by damaged underground lines on Wednesday.

The district said power has been restored to most of the campus; however, "the athletics and locker room facilities remain under repair, with full restoration expected by Monday."

Plano ISD said that work will continue over the weekend to complete repairs.

The district thanked Oncor Electric, Excel Electric, Able Electric and district facilities personnel for "around-the-clock support to identify and address the issues and restore power at the campus."

Plano East Senior High School is a 6A school with just over 3,000 students enrolled, according to public data.
