ARLINGTON (105.3 The Fan) - Shin-Soo Choo is being placed back on the disabled list after returning for one game.

Choo left Friday's game against the Astros with a strained left hamstring after being activated before the game.

Choo had been on the DL ever since he strained his right calf April 9.

The team has called up outfielder Jared Hoying to fill Choo's spot.

Hoying was selected by the Rangers in the 10th round of the 2010 draft.

He's hitting .319 with seven home runs and 32 RBI's for Triple-A Round Rock.

Outfielder Drew Stubbs is also hurt. He was dealing with a sprained left toe he suffered while running the bases Sunday.

On Monday afternoon, Rangers general manager told the Ben and Skin Show on 105.3 The Fan that Stubbs will likely go on the disabled list.

The club also announced on Monday that Josh Hamilton will have season-ending surgery on his left knee.
