Celeste Elementary Closed Friday Due To Virus

CELESTE (CBSDFW.COM) - Celeste Elementary will be closed tomorrow, Friday, January 29.  The school district posted the following message on its website:

Celeste Elementary has been hit with a virus that has affected about 65 students and 5 teachers. Due to this occurrence, Celeste Elementary will be closed tomorrow, Friday, January 29th.

During this time, Celeste ISD custodial and maintenance staff will be doing a deep clean of the entire elementary building.

It looks like the virus is taking about 2 days to run its course, so we are hoping the three day weekend will allow all teachers and students to get well and return to school on Monday.
