Car Rams Barricade At US Capitol: 1 Officer Killed, Other Seriously Injured

WASHINGTON (CBS NEWS) - Two officers were rammed by a car at the barricade at the Constitution Avenue access point to the Capitol, U.S. Capitol Police said Friday, April 2, shortly after they sent an alert to staffers warning of an "external security threat."

One of the officers has died, Capitol Police Acting Chief Yogananda Pittman told reporters at a briefing after the incident.

She also said the suspect has died.
