ROSELLE, IL (CBSDFW.COM) -- The Roselle, Illinois police department released video from a traffic stop in hopes it would help warn people not to drink and drive.

The video shows the vehicle driving through town with the tree stuck in the car's grill.

The department originally only released images online showing a 15-foot tree stuck in a car's front grill. After many people questioned the images, the department released the video proof.

The dashcam video shows the vehicle when officers first spotted the car in the oncoming lane

Police said they could smell alcohol on the female driver.

The driver told police she didn't remember hitting the tree.

According to the Chicago Tribune, the incident happened about 11:00 p.m. on Jan. 23.
