MANSFIELD (CBSDFW.COM) - Every year Brooks Wester Middle School in Mansfield raises money for their Angel Tree for local non-profit Mansfield Cares.

Last year, they raised $5000. This year they hoped to double that number by December 18 but reached their goal today!

Part of it, thanks to the guidance of teacher Stephanie Shackleford and a lip dub video starring nearly 900 students, their teachers and the Superintendent known as 'Dr. V'.

"Our videographer was a former student of mine. He graduated from Legacy High School in Mansfield. He's a radio and film major at UNT," said Shackleford.

With a little less than a month to go the group is aiming to raise $15,000.
